The Ten Commandments - MAGNIFIED
The Ten Commandments are truly the Terms and Conditions of a Bilateral Social Compact Agreement with the Creator that upon acknowledgement, acceptance and performance will produce peace and happiness for all in eternity.
Mt 5:17-19;Mt 19:16-19;James 2:17-24;1 Jn 2:3-6;1 Jn 5:3;2 Jn 1:6;Rev 12:17
So, let us analyze each of these ten points of agreement more closely to see exactly what each one is intended to accomplish and why each one is distinctly important.
COMMANDMENT #1:
The most important "matter of consequence" having "eternal relevance" is to know that there is a Creator that lives above the blue-sky firmament dome enclosing the earth. This truth is the focal reference point for all other knowledge. Dismissing or ignoring this truth is the ultimate form of the idolatry that this commandment is warning us about. This Being made us, and is the only source of eternal life. This is why our Father in heaven must be our primary focus and master.
COMMANDMENT #2:
Our Father in heaven wants to have a direct personal relationship with us. That takes spending time together. He has set certain special days for us to communicate with him. Besides reserving the last day of the week for this "worship" in spirit and truth, certain "appointed times" during the year were set aside for special "holy convocations" as "commanded assemblies" that were designed to teach us His Plan to help us all become like Him, autonomous eternal beings of love. For us to love Him, we have to know Him. And He forbids us from using any third party objects or persons from interfering in that intimate knowing.
COMMANDMENT #3:
Our Father in heaven does not want us to misrepresent Him by claiming to know Him and then proceed to teach ideas or do things that He does not condone.
COMMANDMENT #4:
Our Father in heaven wants us to know that we are interacting with Him as the Creator of the heavens and the earth by resting on the last day of the week as He did "in the beginning".
COMMANDMENT #5:
Our Father in heaven has created the family experience of marriage between a man and woman producing children as a TYPE for what He is doing in reproducing Himself into a divine Family of autonomous spiritual eternal beings having His loving attitudes and righteous holy character. So honoring our physical parents is preparing us to honor our spiritual Father in heaven for an eternity.
COMMANDMENT #6:
Our Father in heaven grants us a temporary physical life as a period of time and experiences that enable us to decide whether or not to live His way of life for an eternity. To deliberately murder someone cuts that period short before the Father's working with that person is finished. No one has the authority to violate another person's opportunity to choose to live with God forever.
COMMANDMENT #7:
Our Father in heaven created the marriage relationship as a TYPE of the relationship between His Son and the First Fruits that the Father has called and chosen to be a Bride for His Son. The Father demands that this relationship remain sacred and pure to prepare these First Fruits to marry His Son and bear holy children in both the Spring and Fall Harvests of Divine Family Kingdom of God.
COMMANDMENT #8:
Our Father in heaven maintains His ownership rights over all He creates. Being made in His image and likeness, we also maintain ownership rights over all we create or inherit. No one has the authority to violate either of these ownership rights.
COMMANDMENT #9:
Our Father in heaven maintains His integrity and autonomy by making decisions based on the truth. Lies violate the integrity and autonomy of those making decisions based thereon.
COMMANDMENT #10:
Our Father in heaven is completely capable of providing for the needs of all that He creates. It is an insult to the Father's caretaking and love to inordinately desire more than He provides at any moment in time, or to usurp His position as caretaker of creation.
